Take a guided audio-visual tour of the Royal Irish Academy, one of the conference venues.

Learn about the history of the Academy, which was founded in 1785, and some of the famous writers, historians and scientists associated with the institution. You can also find out about the library collections and the Academy’s activities and projects.

Also available is a 360-degree panoramic virtual tour of the main public rooms and library of Academy House on Dawson Street, Dublin, using Google’s Street View technology. Academy House has been home to the Royal Irish Academy since 1852. Originally known as Northland House after previous owner Viscount Northland, it was built as a private residence c.1756.
